There are two EcoBoost® options for this new Ford model: a 1.5-liter that produces 163 horsepower and 199 lb-ft of torque, and a 2.0-liter version that makes 250 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque. Auto Stop-Start Technology is available on either one, providing reduced fuel consumption and emissions.

Looking to break free from the restraints of gas? Two hybrid options are also available, each powered by a 2.5-liter I-4 Hybrid engine that implements eCVT and makes 163 horsepower alongside 155 lb-ft of torque — you’ll also be able to choose between hybrid or plug-in hybrid.

It might look compact from the outside, but the highly functional cabin of the 2023 Ford Escape gives you plenty of unique ways to make use of the available 65.4 cubic feet of cargo space behind the first row. 

The available Power Liftgate allows you to access this storage with just a touch of the key fob. The 60/40 split-fold seats can slide back, letting your rear passengers get an extra 5.9 inches of legroom. In the cockpit, you’ll notice the unique rotary gear shift dial that gives you more space to move around and allows for two extra USB ports and a larger center console.
